The acrylic needs to be able to adhere to glass and wood and be at least one inch thick.Where can I buy clear acrylic for a craft project?
Not sure if you want a sheet of acrylic (plexiglass, etc) or you want a clear water-based liquid that would harden and adhere to glass and wood.
It won't be easy finding a *sheet* of plexiglass that thick though unless perhaps you go to a plastics store like Tap Plastics. (I guess you could always stack thinner sheets together, but not sure if there would be visual distortion when as thick as one inch.)
You could use a clear adhesive if you wanted to adhere those sheets to glass or wood... perhaps a 2-part epoxy glue or E6000.
You can use a resin though and create the size and shape you want (all resins are naturally adhesive, though it would be best to seal or paint any bare wood before using with resin since they're porous if not and won't necessariliy look as good.).
For something as thick as 1';, you'd probably want a *polyester* resin rather than an epoxy resin (like ';bar top resin'; or Envirotex Lite) but you'll have to deal with the surface problems they have after curing if you leave the surface exposed to the air while curing.
I also can't tell if you'd want to use a craft polyester resin (like Castin' Craft's Clear Polyester Casting Resin) or if you'd be okay with just the kind of polyester resin more often used for making fiberglass (those are sold at auto stores, boat stores, etc).
You can check out this page at my site though for more info on the types of resin, and what they're used for, lessons, etc, if you're interested:

HTH,
Diane B.Where can I buy clear acrylic for a craft project?
I would go to your local hardware store like Home Depot, Lowe's. They have all of this and more. Some craft shops may carry acrylic but not always in the size you are looking for. At the hardware shops they can cut it down from a sheet for you and you will find it in different thickness. Good luck
Let's check this at Amazon.

I would totally try a craft store. Ask them and most of the time they can help you out in finding what you need. Good luck to you.
