My aquarium lighting sits on top of some acrylic that has gotten scoured, like someone tryed to clean it at one time with too potent of a cleaner.Would love to let the light thru all the way. Thanks! How do i clear up some cloudy acrylic?
A great product that will remoe the scrathes from the acrylic tank is a product called Novus #2. It will help you you big time and you should have your tank back to looking great again. It is only $5 , so not expensive. Heres the link: http://www.vikingmagiccompany.com/?nd=fu鈥?/a>How do i clear up some cloudy acrylic?
i do not know
If it was scoured, it's been scratched, creating the cloudiness. Perhaps one of those lens repair liquids that fill in scratches would be helpful. I'm not sure.
Sounds like it was cleaned with an ammonia based cleaner or some other kind of glass cleaner. Most glass cleaners cloud acrylic, and apparently there isn't any way to un-cloud it.

Edit: I've done this to acrylic by accident before so I thought I'd look it up to make sure there haven't been any new developments. Apparently, depending on the cause of the cloudiness, rubbing it with a paper towel covered in canola oil or cooking spray (Pam), has been known to clear it up.
